This great card came from Birte in Cologne. She wrote a chatty note on the back and decorated the card as well, so it was fun to receive.
She wrote,
dear helen,
i admire you for living in a foreign land without perfect language skills.
My name is Birte, i'm nearly 40 and live with my husband and our 6 year old son in Cologne, my birthplace. At the front of this card, you'll see our town hall where we got married. I've read, that you're in love with book. Me too! I was bookseller for 15 years.
